We will be watching and then discussing one or more YouTube videos that shed light on what democratic socialism, represented by prominent U.S. politicians like Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortex and Zohran Mamdani, is about. Democratic socialism is also an ideology espoused by the NDP in Canada. Toronto Oasis organizer Tania Akon will provide an introduction to the topic & videos and suggested discussion questions.
